A Fibre Artist Without Knowing It

Just recently I learnt something new.  It is Fibre Art. I had not known what I was doing decades ago, that was in the 1980s, was actually categorised as 'art'.

Below are pictures of some of the doillies, runners and centrepieces I had made before(wonder if that constitutes 'art' because I merely followed the created patterns).  The actual products were long gone.  They were thrown away by some unappreciative souls who did not understand what the number of hours and effort I had put in meant.Oops....pardon me.

At this juncture, I prefer to leave all unhappy thoughts behind.  Instead , I will think of the fun and joy I will get later by making these lovely things.

Spiritually fulfilled....fully inspired

Without God's helping hands, I do not believe I can possibly do my art better.
Half a year before this, I have never been able to complete a drawing of a portrait but now I am able to do it in an hour or two, and with some degree of likeness to the subject.  Amazing, don't you think so?

Of course I did pray about it.  I prayed that if God is really with me, He will make it happen, that I can
do my art so well that I , myself, am blown away, needless to say the others who have never seen me hold a sketching pencil or a paint brush to paint any grand picture.  I had them blown away when I painted flowers, cats, dogs, landscapes or seascapes like  a professional. My son was moved to tears.
He went like this, "Oh, mummy! You can paint! Oh, mummy, I didn't know you're so clever!"

Then I said, "Now, do you believe in Him now? I told you I am going to pray about it, right?"

New portraits that I have drawn...one of them(yet to be finished) is a picture of a baby....it is the first time I drew a baby.  Oh boy, it is not easy!

This is an uncompleted picture....I took nearly a quarter of an hour to do the baby's face...

Besides Painting.....

I love to do my painting but I cannot let it overwhelm my life. I must also finish reading my Bible this
year.  Now I have just finished Second Kings and I am so sick of all those kings after King David, starting from King Solomon. Go and read the Bible if you don't know what I mean.  And the other day I  was reading about Jeremiah after  getting so irked. Poor Jeremiah, it was hard indeed to be chosen as a prophet, going about telling what bad things going to befall on another.

Another thing I want to share is the condition of my Bible now.  I am  not trying to show I am a holy person.  It is something that came into my mind.  I am not treating my book well.  Look at the condition.  I have left my pen in between the pages and now the Bible is coming apart.  Makes me think of something in a more serious note.  Am I treating the Word of God right?  What are my attitudes towards the contents of the Bible?  I really have to guard my heart, the mere action of reading is not so important as what runs in the heart or mind.

I want my picture on the Wall

The tell tale cat to complete the picture....what an interesting story for a child.

Moral of the story:  It is bad to vandalise, though it is good to reveal your true feelings. hehehehe...

D-day Sketches

Yet to be finished....but not today...I think I want to do some oil paintings today...mind you it is 'paintingssss'...in the plural...I am too greedy ....wanting to do many but it is alright...I have lunch and dinner planned and half prepared.
Yippee, we are still here on Earth, still in one piece.
God is giving us more time to accept Him and mend our ways! I am so in love with Him!
