Father-in-law turned Dr Jekyll

My first attempt at water colour painting this portrait of my very old father-in-law .  Lesson learnt...no need to put in the wrinkles if you want to please your patron; they will definitely be happier if you make them decades younger.

And I must not let my mother -in- law see this.  She will complain about using the wrong photo because my father-in-law was photographed just after he woke up fom his nap.
He is my first 'guinea pig'.  As for the ladies, they have hinted about not making them look like some characters in the 'Sim'.

The Pastor and his Family on an Israeli Trip

Work in Progress....a sketch with my new coloursoft  cranberry pencil.  I just love it and cannot resist starting on my new sketches.  I got too many that I want to do.  I am all excited with the newly discovered 'toys'. I think I am going into my second childhood but it is fun.  The word 'ageing' should not ever be used to describe the condition.  It should be ' new life' and it is even better with all the wisdom and experience I have gathered throughout the years.
Join me in the journey of self discovery, you haven't known yourself better!
