As you read my blog, you will find that I am trying to be a good Christian painter or hobbyist. Painting is my passion and I am trying to blend it into my Christian life. It is a good thing to paint or do a craft. You will experience the peace that is meant for you; nobody can take away from you nor can they participate in it. It is specially for you. One who does painting will know what this means.

Funny Way of Painting
While most people will paint the background first, I will usually paint the main subject first.
The reason behind my doing so is that I haven't the confidence of successfully completing the
painting, especially on the main subject. As such, if I can't paint it right, I will just abandon it
without wasting the paint that has gone into the background. However, so far, I find myself quite
capable of painting, which surprises myself a lot.
I am in the midst of discovering my own capabilities, so as to say. I can't deny that more practice and more courage in doing new things will make myself evolve into a painter of some uniqueness.
Pray God will give me more power as I strongly believe it is Him who has been guiding me along!
I need only believe!

Further to Crocheting with Cloth Strips
It just dorned on me I need not actually use polyester cloth for fear of fraying.
Fraying may be good as it will give another kind of look or texture, just like a furry bag.
Maybe I will try doing one and see what the end result is. I will try to make a psychedelic one,
kind of punky style.
Maybe I will do it in random colours , textures and shapes.....
I suppose there is more versatility in cloth strips....not restricted to the wools, strings or threads available in the market.
If you like soft, cool silky touch, try silk. Wow, I can imagine all the floral kinds, geometric designs , plain sweet ones etc etc
About cutting cloth strips, if you using polyester, it is harder because you can't tear them as in cotton or silk. While cutting , put the cloth all laid out flat and as you cut , look at the strip and not at the wider part of the cloth. Look a little further than the position of the scissors, that way you can be sure of cutting a straighter piece. You have to use a large pair of scissors if you want smoother edges . Otherwise, using a smaller scissors will cause jagged edges to your cloth strip. Even that is okay, because you will produce a special effect to the surface of your bag. It is all part of creativity.
However, choose the size of the needle carefully. A large one will help you finish the work faster but there will be larger holes and a lining is needed.
